Common questions

Is this the same epitalon sold on research sites?
Same peptide, very different product. Research sites sell vials labeled not for human use, often made overseas, with no one checking whether it fits you. Ours is compounded by a state-licensed US 503A pharmacy from a prescription written for you, with your name and directions on the label.
Is epitalon legal to prescribe now?
Yes, under conditions. In October 2026, HHS said it will not take enforcement action against state-licensed 503A pharmacies that compound epitalon from a patient-specific prescription and meet the policy's conditions, while FDA finishes its rule. HHS covers it as an injection given in courses with breaks. It is still not FDA approved.
How much does Epitalon cost?
The course price is on this page before you pay. It covers the online provider visit, the medication if prescribed and shipping, charged once with no automatic refill. If the provider decides it is not right for you, you get a full refund.

Understand your treatment

Four amino acids, given in courses.

Epitalon grew out of Russian research on epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. Most of what is published is lab and animal work on telomerase and cell aging. HHS covers it as an injection given in courses with breaks, so we sell it one course at a time.

Short and simple: four amino acids

Alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and glycine. Epitalon was modeled on epithalamin, an extract of the pineal gland.

Studied for telomerase in the lab

In human cells in a dish, epitalon switched on telomerase and lengthened telomeres. Human trials are limited.

About Epitalon

Epitalon, also spelled epithalon, is a synthetic peptide of four amino acids: alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and glycine. It was modeled on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. Most published work is lab and animal research on telomerase and cell aging. Your vial holds epitalon acetate as the only active ingredient, compounded by a US 503A pharmacy.

  • A four-amino-acid synthetic peptide
  • Epitalon acetate, the only active ingredient
  • Given in courses with breaks, as your provider directs
  • Prescribed after a US-licensed provider review

Safety and side effects

Epitalon is compounded by a US-licensed 503A pharmacy and is not FDA approved. FDA has not reviewed it for safety, effectiveness or quality, and human studies are small. A licensed provider reviews your health history and medicines before deciding whether to prescribe it. It is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or by anyone under 18. Report side effects to your provider, or to FDA MedWatch at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Common

  • Redness, swelling or itching where you inject
  • A small bruise at the injection site

Less common

  • Soreness at the injection site that lasts more than a day

Seek care

  • Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing
  • Signs of infection where you inject: spreading redness, warmth or fever

Human safety data for epitalon are limited. Tell your provider about every medicine you take before starting. This is not a complete list of side effects.

Frequently asked questions

Why is epitalon not a subscription?
HHS's policy covers epitalon given in courses with breaks in between, not nonstop. So each order is one course, and your provider decides if and when you take another.
What does the research on epitalon show?
In a lab study, adding epitalon to human fetal fibroblast cells switched on telomerase and lengthened telomeres (Khavinson et al., 2003). Most other work is from the same research group, in animals and small groups of people. Your provider will go through what is and is not known.
How is Epitalon taken?
It comes as an injectable vial. Your provider sets your dose and schedule, and the pharmacy label spells it out. Follow your prescription, not a dosing chart you find online.
Who should not take Epitalon?
It is not for anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18. Your provider reviews your health history and medicines before deciding.
How fast does it ship?
Usually 3 to 5 days after your provider approves it, cold-packed in a plain box. Shipping is free.
