TB-500
TB-500 by prescription. Coming soon.
TB-500 is a seven-amino-acid fragment of thymosin beta-4. HHS opened it to US 503A pharmacies in October 2026, as an injection under the skin or into muscle. Our pharmacy is adding it as a single-ingredient prescription. Join the list to be first.

Understand your treatment
A fragment, not the whole protein.
TB-500 is often confused with thymosin beta-4. It is a seven-amino-acid piece of it, the region that binds actin. HHS's policy names this fragment, as an injection under the skin or into muscle.

Make a more informed choice
TB-500 vs. thymosin beta-4
Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid protein studied in tissue repair. TB-500 is the acetylated LKKTETQ fragment. They are different molecules, and research on one does not automatically apply to the other.

The fragment HHS names
TB-500 is Ac-LKKTETQ, seven amino acids from the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4. It is not the full 43-amino-acid protein.
From a repair protein
Thymosin beta-4 binds actin and helps cells move during tissue repair, in lab and animal research.

About TB-500
TB-500 is the acetylated seven-amino-acid fragment Ac-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln (Ac-LKKTETQ). It copies the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein studied in tissue repair. It is a different molecule from the full protein. Ours will be TB-500 acetate as the only active ingredient, compounded by a US 503A pharmacy.

What the research shows
TB-500 research leans on its parent protein, thymosin beta-4. Here is what the record shows.

Safety and side effects
TB-500 is compounded by a US-licensed 503A pharmacy and is not FDA approved. FDA has not reviewed it for safety, effectiveness or quality, and human studies are small. A licensed provider reviews your health history and medicines before deciding whether to prescribe it. It is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or by anyone under 18. Report side effects to your provider, or to FDA MedWatch at 1-800-FDA-1088.
Common
- Redness, swelling or itching where you inject
- A small bruise at the injection site
Less common
- Soreness at the injection site that lasts more than a day
Seek care
- Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing
- Signs of infection where you inject: spreading redness, warmth or fever
